NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE „NEUE MITTE“, NEURUM, AUSTRIA

The Neu-Rum district centre, the largest construction project in the market town, had its ground-breaking ceremony for a ‘new centre’ last Thursday.

RUM. The extensive residential construction project ‘Neue Mitte’ – Neu-Rum district centre is picking up speed. Plans include a medical centre, a spacious green area and a modern school campus with a new triple gymnasium. On the site of the former football pitch, the non-profit property developers Frieden and TIGEWOSI are constructing four large building complexes with around 100 flats based on designs by the architects i-unit. The ground-breaking ceremony was held last Thursday by Mayor Josef Karbon, TIGEWOSI Managing Director Franz Mariacher and Frieden CEO Dietmar Härting. Das Ortsteilzentrum Neu-Rum, das größte Bauprojekt der Marktgemeinde, erlebte vergangenen Donnerstag seinen Spatenstich für eine „Neue Mitte“.

RUM. Das umfangreiche Wohnbauprojekt „Neue Mitte“ – Ortsteilzentrum Neu-Rum nimmt Fahrt auf. Geplant sind ein Ärztezentrum, eine weitläufige Grünfläche sowie ein moderner Schulcampus mit neuer Dreifachturnhalle. Auf dem Areal des ehemaligen Fußballplatzes errichten die gemeinnützigen Bauträger Frieden und TIGEWOSI nach Entwürfen des Architekturbüros i-unit vier große Gebäudekomplexe mit rund 100 Wohnungen. Vergangenen Donnerstag erfolgte der Spatenstich durch Bürgermeister Josef Karbon, TIGEWOSI-Geschäftsführer Franz Mariacher und Frieden-Vorstand Dietmar Härting. Nach jahrelanger Planung und einem umfassenden Bürgerbeteiligungsprozess wird das Megaprojekt nun schrittweise umgesetzt. (Text Bezirksblatt Rum, M. Kendlbacher)
